- Consignment is by appointment only on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Each consigner must schedule their own appointment either in person or by telephone at 410-828-9343. Beginning in December, consigners may schedule up to two appointments for the period from January to June; beginning in June, consigners may schedule up to two appointments for August to December.
- The limit per appointment is 25 items.
Money Matters
- Sale prices are split 50/50 between the consigner and the Surprise Shop. The duration of the contract is 42 days.
- Consignor earnings of $20 or more will be paid by check and mailed. Consignor earnings of less than $20 will be paid in cash at the shop. Please provide your consignor number.
- The minimum price for a consigned item is $4.00.
Item Specifications
- All items must be in excellent condition and include all parts (belts, buttons, cords, batteries, etc.)
- Clothing must be on hangers, CLEAN, not wrinkled, and of current style unless vintage. Note: You may pick up hangers from the shop prior to your appointment.
- The shop does not take safety equipment, used intimates (i.e. underwear, socks) used bathing suits, large furniture, single sheets, or used dust ruffles.
- Seasonal items (i.e. Christmas) are taken ONLY during specified dates.
Unsold Items
- Unsold items become the property of the shop on the date the contract expires. You may request a tax slip for unsold items.
- Consigners may retrieve any unsold items before the contract expiration date.
Disclaimers
- Our volunteers may decline to accept any item they deem not up to our standards or which is currently overstocked.
- We take great care to safeguard your items; however, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
